Something Out of My Routine
finally, my almost-impossible-to-get-it-done assignment is DONE!!! handed it up last friday. hurray to me n my dear frens who got it done. this is by far the thickest assignment i’ve ever completed, bout 200+pages. u can chk out the ‘before and after’ effects that it had on my study desk and dun mention the effects it had on me as well, staying up the whole nite to compile it, like always, i’m the compiler. i was in a terrible state the next day, i had dark circles under my eyes, so terrible till no way i’m taking a pic of myself.
when ken was sending me back home last weekn, i had this urge to go to the waterfalls near my house. so instead of making a left turn home, we drove straight on. i think its been more than 10 yrs since i last visited this waterfall, but fr wat i’ve heard, much has changed–for the worst. so i decided to have a look myself. driving pass the orang asli settlements and the old mining ponds brought back loads of childhood memories. nothing much has change as the small shabby houses were still as where it used to be. i can still rmb when my mom drove here quite often back then to bring old but still wearable clothes to them.
mayb they dun get much visitors back then, cos they seem so excited when they see a car, especially those little kids. once my mum stops the car, they will gather about the car n try to get hold of some of the bags of colthes. kinda reminded me of santa claus giving out presents to them, and mostly importantly how lucky i was to have decent clothes to wear. but today, i think they seem to be used to seeing cars pass by due to the developement goin on around that area, even ken’s luxurious Harrier dun seem to catch their attention. but there were not so much kids running and playing around like last time.
aft bout 10 mins drive, we reached our destination, which was really disappointing to me.

back then, clean and ‘untouched’, peaceful and it feels like its just u and nature but… today… well i think u can tell… i was really disapointed wit wat the authorities had done to develope the place. in this case, developement changed it for the worse. there were toilets beside the river, can u even imagine playing in the water that u’re not sure of its source? i think those kids were just having to much fun that they dun really care. i didnt even dare dip my feet in the shallow waters. n there were rubbish everywhere.
really miss those childhood days where the falls where still not so well known to the ppl, and when u go there, u’ll be the only group of ppl there having the waterfalls to urself. gone were those days…
